Happy New Year!
As we commence 2014, it’s time to stick to those resolutions. Yes, this means beginning the year by making promises to ourselves — to start doing something good or stop doing something bad — on the first day of the New Year. For me, in particular, creating a resolution is effortless. Sticking to them? Eh, not so much. I’m sure you can relate, too.
For you trivia buffs, here’s a list of the most common New Year’s resolutions, year after year:
•Eat healthy food
•Get a better education
•Pursue a new job
•Improve physical well being
•Lose weight
•Manage debt
•Control stress
•Quit smoking
•Reduce, reuse and recycle!
•Save money
•Take a trip
•Volunteer to help the less fortunate
This year, I resolve to think more positively, laugh more often and enjoy life to its fullest potential. In addition, to these personal development goals, I would like to become more organized and reduce my stress levels. I know, it’s a tall order but here’s to hoping 2014 superceeds 2013!
How about you? What do you want to achieve in 2014? Do you want to learn something new? How about spend more time with your loving family? What about crossing a few items off your bucket list? Whatever you choose, here’s to hoping you follow through on them!
