Ken Gorin and his new Jaguar F-TYPE

F-TYPE Ken Gorin Car

Ken Gorin is loving having his amazing F-Type Jaguar.

Jaguar is making some serious headlines with introduction of the all-new Jaguar F-Type. And Ken Gorin’s got one parked right inside his personal garage because the convertible sportscar is putting Jaguar back on the ones-to-watch map.

Cunning and serious in every sense of the word, the F-Type is feral! Yes, you heard that right. Ken especially loves the soothing ride of this beauty. Available in three models: F-Type, F-Type S and F-Type V8 S, all three share core technology — DOHC variable-timing valvetrains, direct injection, Eaton supercharging, and charge-to-liquid intercooling. Ample torque is readily available from a couple thousand rpm, so the slightest right-toe twitch delivers serious thrust.

A gander at the outside of the open-top sportscar tells a stunning story. The convertible has style for miles in the shape of evocative design. The long wheelbase, short overhangs and flared fenders give this car a good stance. The contour in plan view tapered toward the door boosts the muscular rear fender that houses the driven wheels.

Inside, drivers can indulge in state-of-the-art nuances. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, headlight washers, rain-sensing wipers, a deployable rear spoiler and heated side mirrors. Also standard? Full-power accessories, cruise control, automatic climate control, leather and suede upholstery, six-way power-adjustable seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior ambient lighting, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, Bluetooth, an 8-inch touchscreen display, a navigation system, and a 10-speaker audio system with CD player, auxiliary audio jack and iPod integration. Whew!

In the words of Car and Driver, ”The cat gets its scratch back.” And they couldn’t be more correct.
