I agree with my friends over at Huffington Post, “Dwyane Wade not only wears the number three on his jersey, he’s also a triple threat.” He is a fashionista, a philanthropist, and a businessman – not forgetting his championship-winning skills on the basketball court. Over the past several days, I have attended three (there’s that number again) events in support of Dwyane, the Brand Ambassador for my company, THE COLLECTION.
It started out Tuesday night with an intimate fashion discussion at Neiman Marcus Coral Gables with Dwyane and GQ magazine. Dwyane gave us tips on how we can dress as fresh as he does. He told us that fashion is all about style while still being comfortable. He even poked fun at me for my affinity to wear “boring” business suits, but not everyone can pull off kelly green slacks like him!
Thursday evening, THE COLLECTION was proud to sponsor A Night on the RunWade. This was a fun filled event featuring a fashion show, delicious cuisine, a live auction, and of course a beautiful Jaguar F-TYPE and Aston Martin Vanquish on display. All of the proceeds went towards an amazing cause, Wade’s World Foundation. WWF provides support to various educational, health and family service programs, in particular those that benefit underserved communities. My favorite part of the evening had to be the spectacular finale in which Dwyane descended Cirque du Soleil-style from the ceiling!
Finally, on Friday morning, I attended the Brand Wade Summit. This is the annual meeting where Dwyane’s partners, such as Hublot, Pepperidge Farm, Stance Socks, The Tie Bar, and Gatorade, come together and review the year’s events and big announcements. We also discuss the future of Brand Wade. Can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store!
