The Royal Jaguar E-Type

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were married in a picture perfect fairy-tale wedding that captivated two billion people worldwide to watch the couple say “I do.” The Royal Wedding took place on Saturday May 19, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England, and despite its very early start time of 6 a.m. ET, it was the most talked about event of the weekend and the most regal event of 2018.

Our favorite part of the wedding, you might ask? Following the star-studded ceremony Prince Harry drove his bride in style in a stunning Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero as they made their way to the evening celebrations at Frogmore House and we could not keep our eyes off of it.  This version of the iconic vehicle was the reborn Concept Zero model that was unveiled last year. It is a zero-emissions battery-electric powered version of the 1968 car.

It not only looks like the classic E-Type but it also boasts performance that beats the specs of the original car. The car can sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds, which is about one second quicker than a Series 1 E-type.  LED headlights were also installed to achieve energy efficiency and the overall battery can reach a range of around 170 miles on a single charge. The royal newlywed’s car, finished in a dazzling powder blue color, featured a personalized license plate with their wedding date on it.

There’s no disagreeing that the Jaguar E-Type is the perfect car for an elegant wedding.
