2015 Audi Q3 and Porsche 911 Targa unveiled at North American International Auto Show

Detroit, Michigan: the heart of the American automotive industry and the fitting home of the North American International Auto Show. Two of our new favorite models unveiled in the past few days are perfect match for life down south, with us in Miami. The 2015 Audi Q3 is made for suburban and city dwellers on the go, and the Porsche 911 Targa features a refreshingly different roof concept allowing drivers to take advantage of Miami’s incredible weather. Unfortunately, that is something Michiganders won’t be able to partake in during the winter months.

Although the Q3 has been on sale in Europe since mid-2011, the U.S.-spec 2015 Audi Q3 made its official debut at the show. The 2015 Audi Q3 is the smallest Audi SUV offered to date on this side of the Atlantic. Plenty of standard goodies are included with the base 2015 Audi Q3, including Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and taillights; heated, 12-way power-adjustable leather seats; and a power-retractable panoramic sunroof. This premium compact crossover SUV is the perfect vehicle for navigating US 1 in Coral Gables and squeezing into parking along the crowded city streets of Miami.

Meanwhile, Porsche unveiled a new 911 Targa with an updated shape that definitely puts a twist on the classic 911 silhouette. It is not quite a convertible, and not quite a coupe. It features a fixed rear wraparound glass window and a retractable roof panel to open up the cabin, making it the perfect year-round car in the Sunshine State! The Targa is 21st century retro, a beautiful throwback to the 1967 original that opens and closes in a wonderful mechanical execution that took three years to engineer and occurs at the press of a button in an astonishing 19 seconds.
