Year after year I invite the dedicated and hard-working manager’s of THE COLLECTION for a dinner to toast the previous year’s success. This year I wanted to make the event extra special for the managers while also celebrating my 20 years at the helm of THE COLLECTION.
The celebratory night took place at The Thompson Miami Beach and Seagrape, with a custom-created menu prepared by world-renowned chef Michelle Bernstein. Between the hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail portion of the night, the main course and the abundance of desserts, the food was over-the-top delicious.
Before the event, I was thinking how I could make this night extraordinarily special for everyone. As a fan of The Voice, I decided that one of my favorite contestants, Damien Lawson, would be a perfect fit to perform for our group. The performance was AMAZING. Not only were the manager’s surprised, but Damien also performed a surprise special dedication to me of my favorite song, “What a Wonderful World.” His set list of Jealous by Nick Jonas, Love on Top by Beyonce, Rock With You by Michael Jackson and Happy by Pharrell had everyone on their feet!
To sum it up, Friday night was a perfect way to celebrate my 20 years at THE COLLECTION and acknowledge my management team for their hard work day in and day out and thank them for their dedication, passion and excellence. Thank you’s also go to Michelle, Damien and The Thompson for making the night so special and meaningful for me. It was perfect.
