Exotic cars and travels aside, one of my other guilty indulgences includes custom tailored suits and shirts. There’s something to be said about the fit and feel of tailor-made menswear. And the best part about my personalized pieces? I’ll never see anyone else wearing my suits! By now, you’re probably scratching your head and asking yourself whom I use as my personal tailor, but I’m going to stay mum on that score. I keep it a secret to avoid any chances of coming face to face with another man donning the same suit. My apologies.
However, I’m not the selfish type and will share the name of another menswear label I’m unequivocally obsessed with — the Italian house of Brioni. The good news? The premium family-owned brand just opened a boutique in Bal Harbour Shops. The Bal Harbour door boasts approximately 2,300 square feet of premium custom-tailored suits, blazers, formal shirts, jeans, silk ties, exotic skin shoes, belts and socks. Masculine in every sense of the word, the store is decidedly decadent — a man’s world, if you will. Replete with prized lacquers, bronzed brass, velvet and ribbed wood, the stire exudes a sumptuous feel, much like the house’s fabrics. Take a peep into the store with the picture here.
