Fact: THE COLLECTION’s neighborhood of Coral Gables, Florida is a foodie’s dream come true. From Bulla Gastrobar to Caffe Abbracci to Christy’s, the Gables is constantly cooking up tried-and-true dishes for locals and visitors alike. And lucky for those of us in South Florida, the tenth annual Coral Gables Restaurant Week is happening now through June 25th.
Yes, consider the annual event as three weeks of culinary paradise for your taste buds — and fellow Instagram followers. What does this mean for you? You get to experience over 40 restaurants (yes, 40) of the Gables’ favorite restaurants at a reduced cost via three-course prix-fixe menus. Each restaurant’s menu will showcase their chef’s techniques and skills by including the best dishes the restaurant has to offer.
And seeing as I’m extremely familiar with the eats here, here are a handful of the best spots in my humble opinion:
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Winebar
Best known for its juicy steaks and stellar wine list, Fleming’s is serving up a $39 three-course dinner (choose from filet mignon, pork chop, salmon or chicken breast). 2525 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables; (305) 569-7995.
Café Abbracci
Craving authentic Italian flair? Look no further than Café Abbracci. The restaurant is whipping up a dinner replete with Tortellini “Piemontesi”, Norwegian Salmon and more for $35. 318 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables; 305-441-0700
Caffe Vialetto
Live la dolce vita at this popular Italian haunt. For lunch, order up the short rib croquetas and pear raviolis for $24. For dinner, ask for the polenta meatball and truffle ravioli for $39. Delizioso! 4019 Le Jeune Road, Coral Gables ; (305) 446-5659.
Pro tip: Reservations are highly suggested, so call now. Lastly, a list of participating restaurants and their Coral Gables Restaurant Week menus can be found here: https://restaurantweek.shopcoralgables.com/
