As a professional basketball player and passionate philanthropist, Dwyane Wade is always thinking of new and exciting ways to engage with his enthusiastic fans. Now in its fourth year, the Dwyane Wade Fantasy Camp offers a competitive experience for those that are willing to accept the challenge.
After receiving countless requests from fans wanting to face off against the three-time NBA champion in one-on-one games, Wade decided to take on the test by hosting an elite, weekend-long event for campers who are ready to take their game to the next level. The Dwyane Wade Fantasy Camp has quickly become the “ultimate Man-Camp,” giving participants a competitive and exclusive opportunity.
The camp welcomes male adults, ages 35 and older, from anywhere around the United States who want to live out their fantasy by going head to head with some of basketball’s most successful players and coaches. Running from July 31 to August 3 in Hollywood, Florida, the camp is unlike any other event a sports fan can take part in.
On the first day, participants are given the opportunity to try-out to determine the team they will play with for the rest of the weekend. Following the tryouts, Wade hosts the Fantasy Camp Draft Party which includes drinks, food and a chance to network and mingle with other celebrities and participants. The weekend continues with multiple 5-on-5 games, a business symposium and a 3-point contest. The games lead into a tournament, complete with a championship game and award brunch.
For a registration price of $10,500, participants receive a 3-day/night stay at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. Also included in the weekend is special basketball gear, access to exclusive events, autographed materials from Wade himself and an opportunity to live out the dream with basketball pros and trainers. The Fantasy Camp has seen some of basketball’s finest including Lebron James, Udonis Haslem, Greg Oden, Chris Bosh, Antawn Jamison, Raja Bell and more.
Beyond the basketball pros, celebrities have also joined in on the challenge and put their skills to the ultimate test. The Dwyane Wade Fantasy Camp has welcomed various appearances from actor Will Smith, comedian and actor Kevin Hart and rapper Young Jeezy.
An amazing roster of coaches also heightens this first-class event. The Fantasy Camp has been led by world-class coaches and leaders such as Miami Heat’s own Erik Spoelstra, Indiana University’s Men’s Head Coach Tom Crean, University of Miami’s Men’s Head Coach Jim Larranga, NBA legend Rick Barry and more.
After the games are over, the Westin offers many refreshing ways to unwind. Relax amidst beachfront surf and sand while enjoying spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. Fulfill your every culinary craving with a well-balanced selection of Fort Lauderdale restaurants. Challenge yourself (yet again) on the 18-hole championship golf course, feel well with a relaxing spa experience, charter a fishing boat, ride a jet ski or just relax in a poolside cabana. Regardless of which experience you chose, you’ll leave camp feeling and playing better (although probably a bit sore) than when you arrived.
You do not want to miss this opportunity to challenge one of basketball’s best! For more information and registration form, Dwyane Wade’s Fantasy Camp can be found at: http://dwyanewadefantasycamp.com/
