It was one more day of fun with my good friend, NBA Champion and Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade! Guests gathered on Saturday, September 17th at the Regatta Park in Coconut Grove for an event promoting cycling safety on the streets of Miami with a bike ride titled the Dwyane Wade Community Bike Ride!
Along with the City of Miami’s Police Department who rode in support of the initiative, Gabrielle Union and Udonis Haslem rode directly next to Wade supporting the cause. Leading the pack of bikers you may ask? The beatuful red Ferrari California T and on display was the new Jaguar XE, the Porsche Macan, the Audi Q5 and the Maserati Ghibli.
The free event, put together by the City of Miami and Florida Department of Transportation, and emcee’d by CBS4 News Anchor Elliott Rodriguez, was open to riders of all ages and included a six-mile journey through the Grove.
“It was about babies, teenagers, adults, no matter what size, what shape you are, what color you are, what race you are, what is your job, what you do, we are all part of the community,” Wade told reporters. “Just coming together to support each other and just enjoy this life. We got one life to live and you want to live it to the fullest.”
Proceeds from the event were donated directly to the Wade’s World Foundation.
