Top Three Fashion Designers

Ken Gorin's Opinion of Prada Shoes

So when in need of the best-of-the-best designers, heed to this advice: Hermès, Prada and Louis Vuitton are IT.

Great clothes and exotic vehicles go together like red and Ferraris so it’s no small wonder I have an affinity for designer duds. There’s something to be said about European designers and their creations — from their expert tailoring to the use of decadent materials. I also have a penchant for exclusivity and when it comes to certain Maisons, well, the chances of the dreaded double wear are slim to none.

My favorite designers? While it’s a challenge to pick just three, my most treasured pieces — from suits to wallets to belts to briefcases to ties — would have to be Hermès, Prada and Louis Vuitton. Consider these labels my idea of a sartorial trifecta.

Hermès, while best know for their Birkin and Kelly bags, offer a spate of men’s goods as well. Personally, I love their classic H-buckle belts, silk pocket squares and lacquer cuff links. They are the epitome of Parisian sophistication.

As for Prada, the devil isn’t the only who wears it! I’m a huge fan, too. I have an affinity for their made-in-Milan shoes and tailored suits. While the luxe label has beginnings in handbags and trunks, the label’s current designer, Miuccia Prada, has implemented a serious dose of creativity into the brand’s designs.

And lastly, there’s Louis Vuitton. Their legendary monogram leather truly stands the test of time. Their luggage is bar none the finest in its league and the same goes for their wallets and belts. The added bonus at LV? I love personalizing my Louis Vuitton pieces with their colorful monogram options.
