Last Thursday evening, THE COLLECTION Porsche hosted an invitation-only launch event to celebrate the arrival of the all-new 2015 Porsche Macan. A generous portion of the evening’s proceeds were donated to Miami Children’s Health Foundation.
The showroom was lit with vibrant colors, primarily a heart-pounding red. Guests lounged in the Porsche Exclusive Fitting Lounge.
A giant LED screen behind the elevated DJ booth broadcasted Macan videos into the crowd, making guests feel the adrenaline as if they were already behind the wheel.
Off to the side of the room, models scheduled additional test drives for the weekend on iPads.
The butlered hors d’oeuvres featured a variety of flavorful sauces, allowing guests the opportunity to intensify their food selections. Savory items included chipotle pulled pork sliders and crispy calamari with tomato saffron aioli.
The evening featured a signature cocktail – the “Trouble Maker,” a vodka and passion fruit, mango, and lime juice blend spiced up with slices of jalapeño.
Miami-based DJ YSL kept the crowd going with energized songs that were a mix of Indie Pop with Classic Funk. Check out her mix here: https://soundcloud.com/djysl/macan-music-mix-for-porsche-macan-launch-at-the-collection.
When the Macan was unveiled, she blasted “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes. Proudly coined as the Miami HEAT’s players’ introduction song, it is regarded as a natural hype song for the South Florida community. It also expressed THE COLLECTION’s support for our iconic brand ambassador, Dwyane Wade, during the intense playoff season.
Another fun element of the evening was a photo booth, complete with customized thought-bubble-style signs, reading phrases such as “Macan, Please!,” and light-up THE COLLECTION and Macan glow sticks. Guests couldn’t move fast enough to gather their take home photos.
The two day test drive experience gave guests the opportunity to enjoy personal one-on-one test drives with Porsche Sales Associates and snack on light bites and refreshments. Test drives continued on Monday and Tuesday to accommodate additional interested parties.
