d films to thank for bringing the Brit IT vehicle to the limelight. Before leaving its indelible mark on pop culture, the brand was founded in 1913 by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin as “Bamford & Martin Ltd.,” the company has developed into an iconic brand synonymous with luxury and elegance. In 1914, the company was rebranded as Aston Martin and after years of excelling in the racing realm, growing pains, and the production of stellar vehicles — the brand has sealed its fate as one of the world’s most coveted vehicles — and the car du jour of the dapper James Bond.

Yes, it was the distinguished James Bond who put Aston Martin on the celebrity map. Touted as “the most beautiful car in the world,” the DB5 was chosen to be James Bond’s car of choice in the classic film Goldfinger. After appearing in a staggering 11 films later, it is clear the two brands created cinema history. And let’s face it, that James Bond bears the most eloquent style and a penchant for the finer things in life.

As for me? I’m most drawn to the Aston Martin Vanquish. Considered the ultimate in grand tourers, the Vanquish is touted as the brand’s new flagship. After 100 years of producing the most desirable cars in the world, the brand knew its centenary demanded something out of the ordinary. Clearly, this mission was surpassed! With the most advanced engineering, the most beautiful design and the finest materials, the brand created the best Aston Martin ever. And I, for one, consider that the perfect Hollywood ending!
